Ibiza Vibes in Kenting: Taiwan's Hottest Hotel Escape!
Ibiza Vibes in Kenting: My Unfiltered Take! (Spoiler Alert: Prepare to be Blissed Out!)
Okay, folks, buckle up. I'm back from Kenting, Taiwan, after a stay at Ibiza Vibes, and I'm still kind of buzzing. This isn't your average cookie-cutter hotel experience. This is… well, it's vibes. Let's get messy, shall we?
First Impressions (and the Dreaded Drive In)
Getting there? Well, Kenting itself is a trek. But the drive in to Ibiza Vibes? Oh man. I went through the beautiful scenery, then the city. Once I got there it was a whole other world! The exterior? Clean, modern, kinda minimalist with those Ibiza-esque white walls and pops of color. Already felt like a mini-vacation.
Accessibility: Not a Huge Deal (Mostly)
Alright, let's get real. I’m not wheelchair-bound, so can’t fully vouch for that experience, but they have Elevator, which is a huge plus. There is also a Car park [free of charge], Car park [on-site] and the lobby didn't seem overly imposing. The Facilities for Disabled Guests are listed, and seeing as it's Taiwan, I would be willing to bet they are probably well above par.
Food, Glorious Food (and the Occasional Hiccup)
- Restaurants: Yes! Multiples! They have Restaurants, plus the all important Poolside Bar. I spent like, a solid half day there. It's just chef's kiss.
- Breakfast: They’ve got the basics: Asian breakfast, Western breakfast, Breakfast [buffet], and Breakfast service. I went straight for the buffet, because, honestly, when in Taiwan, right? The Asian cuisine in restaurant was a serious highlight. I mean, the congee? Swoon.
- Drinking: There's a Bar, and they have Happy hour. I might have partaken. Multiple times.
- Other Stuff: They have Coffee/tea in restaurant, Coffee shop, Dessert in restaurant, Salad in restaurant, Soup in restaurant, Vegetarian restaurant, Bottle of water, Snack bar. The A la carte in restaurant was amazing when I wanted something I could take to the pool side.
OMG, the Pool! (and Other Ways to Chill)
Listen, the Swimming pool [outdoor], Pool with view is what dreams are made of. Okay, maybe hyperbolic, but seriously, it's stunning. The water is the perfect temperature, the views are insane, and the vibe just… clicks. They also have a Sauna, Spa, Steamroom, Foot bath, Gym/fitness… I only made it to the pool, but hey, I've already given Ibiza Vibes a good name at the pool.
Okay, Okay, Cleanliness & Safety (I Had to Check)
Look, I'm a bit of a germaphobe (don't judge). Ibiza Vibes gets serious points here. They had the following: Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, Hand sanitizer, Hygiene certification, Individually-wrapped food options, Physical distancing of at least 1 meter, Professional-grade sanitizing services, Room sanitization opt-out available, Rooms sanitized between stays, Safe dining setup, Sanitized kitchen and tableware items, Staff trained in safety protocol, Sterilizing equipment, CCTV in common areas, CCTV outside property, Fire extinguisher, Front desk [24-hour], Safety/security feature, Security [24-hour], Smoke alarms. Made me feel a little like I was living in the future.
My Room: A Little Slice of Heaven (Even with the Minor Quirks)
Okay, let's be honest. It wasn't perfect. But it was pretty damn close.
- The Good Stuff: Additional toilet, Air conditioning, Alarm clock, Bathrobes, Bathtub, Blackout curtains, Closet, Coffee/tea maker, Complimentary tea, Daily housekeeping, Desk, Extra long bed, Free bottled water, Hair dryer, High floor, In-room safe box, Interconnecting room(s) available, Internet access – LAN, Internet access – wireless, Ironing facilities, Laptop workspace, Linens, Mini bar, Mirror, Non-smoking, On-demand movies, Private bathroom, Reading light, Refrigerator, Satellite/cable channels, Scale, Seating area, Separate shower/bathtub, Shower, Slippers, Smoke detector, Socket near the bed, Sofa, Soundproofing, Telephone, Toiletries, Towels, Umbrella, Visual alarm, Wake-up service, Wi-Fi [free], Window that opens. My room was gorgeous. The view from my High floor was breathtaking. The Blackout curtains were a lifesaver for sleeping in, and the free Wi-Fi [free] worked flawlessly.
- The Minor Grumbles: The Coffee/tea maker quality was a bit iffy, and the extra long bed was maybe too long. And there was a weird buzzing sound on the 10th floor. I think I just learned to ignore it.
Services & Conveniences: They Thought of Everything (Almost)
They had a laundry list: Air conditioning in public area, Audio-visual equipment for special events, Business facilities, Cash withdrawal, Concierge, Contactless check-in/out, Convenience store, Currency exchange, Daily housekeeping, Doorman, Dry cleaning, Elevator, Essential condiments, Facilities for disabled guests, Food delivery, Gift/souvenir shop, Indoor venue for special events, Invoice provided, Ironing service, Laundry service, Luggage storage, Meeting/banquet facilities, Meetings, Meeting stationery, On-site event hosting, Outdoor venue for special events, Projector/LED display, Safety deposit boxes, Seminars, Shrine, Smoking area, Terrace, Wi-Fi for special events, Xerox/fax in business center. The Concierge was super helpful, the Daily housekeeping kept things spotless, and the Contactless check-in/out was brilliant. I was a bit bummed that the Pets Allowed wasn’t available (sorry, Fluffy!).
For the Kids (and the Kid in You)
Babysitting service, Family/child friendly, Kids facilities, Kids meal - they are great for the kids, and, let’s be honest, for me too. Who doesn't love a kid's meal now and again?
Getting Around (or Avoiding the Outside World)
Airport transfer, Bicycle parking, Car park [free of charge], Car park [on-site], Car power charging station, Taxi service, Valet parking You can arrange the Airport transfer – thank god for that! They also offered Car power charging station – how convenient!
Is it Perfect? Nope. But Will You Love It? Absolutely.
Look, Ibiza Vibes isn't flawless. There are minor imperfections. The drive to Kenting could be better. But honestly, the overall experience is phenomenal. The staff is lovely, the amenities are plentiful, and the vibe is pure relaxation.

Unwind in Miskolc: Calimbra's Luxurious Wellness Escape (Hungary)
Alright, buckle up, buttercups. This isn't your average, sterile itinerary. This is a chronicle. A rollercoaster. A semi-coherent attempt to survive – and maybe even enjoy – a trip to Ibiza Kenting Hotel in Kenting, Taiwan. Let's be honest, I'm already picturing myself needing a nap… and probably a strong cocktail.
The Ibiza Kenting Debacle (Or Adventure, I Haven't Decided Yet): My Utterly Unrealistic Itinerary
Pre-Trip: The Anticipation (And the Mild Panic)
- Weeks Before: Scouring TripAdvisor for the "perfect" beach. Spoiler alert: perfection is subjective. I'm aiming for "sand that doesn't actively try to kill me." Googling 'Kenting night market prices' – already bracing myself for sticker shock. And, of course, endlessly refreshing the weather app. Praying to the rain gods…for a little bit of rain to cool things down, but not, ya know, a monsoon.
- Days Before: Pack. Unpack. Repack. Overpack. Realize I've brought three different types of sunscreen. Panic about forgetting my passport (classic). Decide I’m definitely buying one of those waterproof phone cases. And a new selfie stick. (Don’t judge).
- Hours Before: "Why did I book a red-eye?!" Existential dread. Locate passport. Deep breaths. Wine.
Day 1: Arrival – The Beach is Calling (and I Might Answer)
- Morning (ish, after the red-eye): Land in Kaohsiung. Pray the customs officer doesn't judge my sleep-deprived appearance too harshly. Taxi ride to Kenting. Gaze out the window, trying to appreciate the scenery, battling the urge to fall asleep and drool all over myself.
- Afternoon: Check-in at Ibiza Kenting. Pray the room lives up to the photos. Immediately attempt to locate the nearest ocean. Sunscreen application round one (or is it two?).
- Beach Recon: Okay, this is where it gets real. Find a spot on the beach - hopefully, it's a non-touristy one. Struggle with the beach umbrella (who thought these things were a good idea?). Dip my toes in the water. Squeal (internally) at the temperature (hopefully, it's not freezing!). Observe people-watching: A necessary activity, it helps.
- Evening: Sunset cocktails. Find a beach bar with questionable music (it's always the questionable music that makes the best memories, right?). Overreact at a particularly stunning sunset (it's the law). Dinner at a local restaurant. Ask for the "least spicy" option, get something with fire in it's heart.
- Night: Night market. Get lost. Overspend on questionable souvenirs. Eat way too much street food. Wonder if I can get away with wearing my new purchase as a hat.
Day 2: Underwater Worlds and Questionable Adventures
- Morning: Attempt to wake up early. Fail. Stumble out the door. Snorkeling! This is my chance to pretend to be a mermaid. Or, at least, not drown. (Priorities, people!) Take a deep breath, put on that snorkel, and… gulp… water in the lungs.
- Afternoon: Recover from snorkeling via delicious seafood. Beach naps. Repeat the process until my skin is the color of a well-done lobster (not the goal).
- Late Afternoon: Explore. Hike. See the view. Attempt to take a scenic photo without getting photobombed by a herd of tourists.
- Evening: Dinner. Consider karaoke (maybe after a few more cocktails). Then, make the most brilliant decision to give the karaoke a miss. Hit the sack.
- Night: Try to sleep, get a little bit of sleep. Wake up. Look at the beautiful sky.
- Night, Again: Snack on leftover snacks.
Day 3: The Grand Finale (Or, When Will I Get Pizza?)
- Morning: Reluctant packing. Mourn the departure of the hotel breakfast bar. (Those little pancakes? Absolutely addictive).
- Late Morning/Early Afternoon: Final beach visit. Treasure hunt (for shells, not treasure). Soak up the last rays of sunshine. Take final photos. Try to commit the sound of the waves to memory.
- Afternoon: Check out. Grab souvenirs.
- Evening: Travel back to the airport. Eat. Drink.
- Night: Land. Begin the post-vacation blues. Start planning the next adventure. And immediately start craving pizza.
The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth (About My Brain)
- Imperfections: I will probably get sand everywhere. I may get lost (multiple times). There will be awkward language barriers. There will be moments of sheer exhaustion. There will be minor missteps or hiccups.
- Quirks: I will take a ridiculous amount of photos. I will overshare on social media. I will probably try to make friends with stray cats. I will get overly emotional about the beauty of the ocean. I will probably complain, then laugh.
- Emotional Rollercoaster: Excitement! Nervousness! Pure, unadulterated joy at the sight of the beach! Mild panic about the potential for sunburn. Tears. Overwhelming gratitude for being there. Mild despair at the prospect of leaving. Repeated for the duration of the trip.
- Messy Structure: This itinerary is a suggestion, more than a plan. It will change. It will evolve. It will be guided more by my stomach and my desire for a cold drink than anything else. Spontaneity is key.
- Rambles and Rambling: I will probably tell you way too much about my inner thoughts and feelings. Consider this fair warning.
- Honest Observations: The food will be amazing, or I’ll be ordering more from a local vendor. The people will probably be friendly, or if not, I’ll assume they're having a bad day. The sun will be intense, I'll be as red as a lobster.
And finally, this is a trip, and I'm going to try to enjoy it!
Wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

1. Why the heck am I even reading this? What *is* this thing, anyway?
2. Okay, fine. But *why* FAQs about *this*?
3. Are you, like, a robot? Because the phrasing is… a bit... off. And there's a lot of squirrels.
4. What kind of questions *should* I be asking?
5. What if I ask a really stupid question?
6. Can you tell me about a time you completely messed something up? Like, a real facepalm moment?
7. Okay, fine. What is your favorite type of ice cream? I *have* to know!
8. How do you handle stress? Asking for a friend (cough, me).
9. What's the most important thing you've learned in your life? (Get ready for a deep one!)
